Listen to the rain

Let it soothe your spirit. Smell the freshness. Hear the patterns. See the cleansing. The way trees and plants drink it in. Feel the renewal.

Bee happy ..... mermaid journal pages

I wanted to share my next set of journal pages in the swap I am taking part in over at Debi's great blog.
This beautiful mermaid is from the lovely Rosa Lily.

This pretty mermaid is from Debi over at Puddleduck Grange who kindly organised the swap.

I am looking forwards to putting all of the wonderful journal pages together in a special book.

Bee happy ..... swap journal pages

I am taking part in a journal page swap this year and have finally got around to sharing our first pages.
Corrina from Dark Visions and Beautiful Reveries sent me this beautiful page.

The lovely Debi from Puddle Duck Grange sent this gorgeous page over.

A wonderful dreamer image from the clever Rosa Lily

And lastly my page which I sent out to everyone.

I just need to work on the rest of the journal pages to share with each other.

Bee happy ....... finished stool makeover

My stool makeover has been successful at last!
If you remember the screw was peaking out on top which I covered with tape.
Unfortunately the napkins weren't thick enough to cover this tape and would need many several more layers to work.
I had an idea of using red and white spot fabric instead which worked perfectly and covered the tape really well.

I cut the fabric to size and put mod podge over the stool and put the fabric over.

I put mod podge around the edges of the stool but didn't use it on top of the fabric so it didn't look too shiny. But at least the edges of the fabric shouldn't lift up where they have been folded under.

I am really pleased with the finished stool and it goes really well in Mr Happy's office with the red, white and blue theme :)
